There are, of course, some glitches. For some reason, Amazon and B&N have the wrong subtitle for the book. Also, both the product description and the author bio on Amazon and Kregel were less than stellar. The person in charge of writing those recently left Kregel, so I think they're a little swamped right now. I've been assured they're working on correcting it.
FYI: If you who attend BBC, BCC, or LHCC, I'd encourage you to buy it through the church. Copies that are purchased through the church will benefit the Open Hearts, Open Homes ministry.
Here's a rough draft of what I suggested they put on the product description:
A Passion for the Fatherless is written to help believers develop a God-centered ministry to the orphan. It exposes believers to the Scriptural mandate to care for orphans, helps them understand why God has issued that call, and equips them to joyfully respond to that call. It strives to achieve this purpose by developing a vibrant theology of orphan ministry for the church. Each chapter is accompanied with study questions so that it can be used in both personal study or with a small-group.
